Abstract

Abstract: Learning English at SD Negeri 10 Metro Timur faces significant challenges, as 65% of students struggle with vocabulary mastery due to conventional, textbook-centered teaching methods and limited digital learning resources. This community service program aims to address this issue by implementing interactive multimedia learning media. The program adopted a systematic collaborative development model consisting of four stages: situation analysis, media development, implementation through collaborative teaching, and competency training for teachers. Data collection involved pre-tests and post-tests analyzed using the N-Gain score, as well as qualitative interviews. The results demonstrated a substantial improvement in students’ English vocabulary mastery, with the average score from 42.5 to 84.8, N-Gain score of 0.73, which refers into the highly effective category. Additionally, teacher digital competence in managing interactive media increased to 90%. In conclusion, the integration of interactive multimedia through collaborative teaching successfully overcomes technological constraints, shifts conventional learning into a student-centered approach, and enhances both student vocabulary mastery and teacher pedagogical skills.

Abstrak: Pembelajaran bahasa Inggris di SD Negeri 10 Metro Timur menghadapi kendala besar, di mana 65% siswa mengalami kesulitan menguasai kosakata akibat metode ceramah berbasis buku cetak dan keterbatasan pemanfaatan teknologi. Program pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan mengatasi masalah tersebut melalui penerapan media pembelajaran multimedia interaktif. Metode yang digunakan adalah model pengembangan kolaboratif sistematis yang meliputi analisis situasi, pengembangan media, implementasi melalui collaborative teaching, dan pelatihan kompetensi guru. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui pre-test dan post-test yang dianalisis dengan rumus N-Gain score, serta wawancara kualitatif. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan pada penguasaan kosakata bahasa Inggris siswa, dengan nilai rata-rata meningkat dari 42.5 menjadi 84.8 dan nilai N-Gain sebesar 0.73 (kategori sangat efektif). Selain itu, kesiapan teknis guru dalam mengoperasikan media interaktif meningkat hingga 90%. Simpulannya, integrasi multimedia interaktif melalui metode pengajaran kolaboratif terbukti berhasil mengatasi keterbatasan teknologi, mengubah pembelajaran konvensional menjadi berpusat pada siswa, serta meningkatkan penguasaan kosakata siswa dan keterampilan pedagogis digital guru.
